Only few hours then the great soccer event begins and Leipzig is one of the twelve venues, therefore our pay phones have a new design.

Today or tomorrow, I will go to the Völkerschlachtdenkmal (Monument of the Battle of the Nations) and go up the approximately 500 stairs to the viewing platform.



The monument is located only a twenty minutes walk from my flat and I often go there but it's been over thirteen years since I last went into the monument.
I will take a lot of photos so that I can start a new photoblog.

Leipzig is dressed in black this long weekend.
About 20,000 Goths from around the world are expected in the city.
They are visiting the yearly Goth festival.
I think the wear, make-up and hairstyle of many is a style of art.

This weekend, Leipzig is also celebrating the yearly city festival and the Bach festival.
