What's abstract art?

Definition: Abstract art / Abstract painting

Abstract art is an art movement in painting, but also in sculpture, drawing and other visual art forms. Abstract art is a non-representational art and generally subdivided into two different styles.

First Style:
Pure abstract painting is a non-objective art which is without any recognisable subject and has no relation to reality. The subject of the work of art are the colours, forms, lines and materials.

Second Style:
Other non-representational paintings do depict objects that were abstracted from the real world. The objects are not realistic, but to some extent is recognisable what it could be, what you see on the artwork.
